Is WWE 2K23 worth it on sale? ›

WWE 2K23 is a very good and exciting game that has made many improvements, including the variety of wrestlers, graphics, gameplay, and physics. I bought this recently because it was on sale and i haven't watched the WWE product since 2020. Overall this game is a solid WWE title. I haven't played since 2K19.

If you have even a passing interest in wrestling, and especially wrestling video games, I say go for it. In fact, I believe it is on sale for half price right now on Amazon, and possibly other online retailers. And honestly, the game is worth full price to me.

It is indeed stronger than WWE 2K22, but it's not the strongest yet from the series. For me, the highlight of this year's game is the MyRise mode. While it still allows players to create custom superstars, it's not split between two distinct open-ended storylines.

Virtual Currency is…well, the virtual form of currency that allows you to purchase certain items in WWE 2K22's store. You can earn VC by completing most matches, but the option to purchase it with real money will always be there. All told, it will cost you 37,900 VC to unlock every wrestler available via this method.

Get ripped out of the stands and hit with complete control of the WWE Universe. How long is WWE 2K22? When focusing on the main objectives, WWE 2K22 is about 4 Hours in length. If you're a gamer that strives to see all aspects of the game, you are likely to spend around 180 Hours to obtain 100% completion.

And yet, It's marginally better in almost every other way than the last two, touting small but smart additions to well-tested systems and modes as opposed to taking bigger risks. It doesn't take long to see that the title for “Best Looking Wrestling Game” is still locked firmly in the hands of the 2K series.

2k19 has a way better roster. 2k22 has better gameplay (no squash match tho) and terrible attribute slider. Mediocre roster. Gm mode that's fun and repetitive the same time.

The on-court gameplay is blast, and the tweaks to the AI have made playing against the computer more challenging and fun, the Jordan Challenge and the addition of the retro players and modes is a blast and I hope these features make the cut for next year.

Overall – if you're a huge fan of WWE and plan to play the game a lot, then yes, we'd say the Deluxe and Icon Editions are worth the extra money. It is worth pointing out, though, that it'll be August before all the DLC for WWE 2K23 is released – and in that time the game may almost definitely go on sale before then.
