Guam is the unincorporated territory of the United States, located in the western Pacific Ocean in Micronesia region. It is the 32nd largest island in United States and largest in Micronesia. Guam is situated in the Australia & Oceania Continent, nearly 3,300 miles west of Hawaii. It's lies between 13.2° and 13.7°N and 144.6° and 145.0°E.

Where is Guam Located?

Guam is located in the Continent, in the western Pacific Ocean, nearly 3,300 miles west of Hawaii. The location map of Guam illustrates it as an island territory under the exclusive sovereignty of the United States. Guam is the largest, most populous and southernmost island of the Mariana Islands.

The capital city of island is Hagatna (it was formerly known as Agana) and the most populous city is Dededo. The Chamorros, who have been living there from more than 4,000 years, are the indigenous people of the Guam.

Though, the ultimate sovereignty of Guam remains with the US; however, the territory is governed by a popularly elected governor. It has also a unicameral 15-member legislature as part of the local political system.

At present, the economy of the region is largely depending upon the tourism. Since, the island has several beautiful and astonishing natural landscapes therefore the region attracts tourists from all over the world. But the large chunk of tourists in the region comes from Japan. Another source of revenue on the island is due to the presence of United States military base.

The climate of the island is tropical marine; so, the weather is normally hot and very humid and surrounding water bodies keeps annual temperature almost constant, there is very little seasonal temperature variation.
