Wrap a bacon slice around each burger. Use a brush to apply olive oil to the meat and grill each side for 5-10 minutes or until cooked through. You can also use the stove and fry them in a pan on medium-high heat.

WOW !! Added some fresh basil to the meat and chopped onion...Quite possibly the BEST tasting burger I've ever had. I'm totally bamboozled on how these burgers stayed together without the eggs and filler?? I'm gobsmacked..Damn these came off GOOD !!!

I really enjoyed this burger. I have liked everything I made so far. The pepperoni pizza is one of my favorites

Yes, that should work but we have not tested for temperature or time.

Dena, I always cook these on the stove, grilling with bacon wrap just creates way too much flare up. I fry them over medium to medium high heat until brown and the lower the heat to medium low until cooked to desired internal temperature. It takes about 30 minutes total for medium. Make sure to use a heavy bottom skillet.

Uncooked, so it is flexible enough to bend around the burger.

Possibly I’m being a tad dim. Nearly all the dinner recipes state “Cook enough so there are leftovers for lunch tomorrow (plan on 2 servings per person)”. It’s only me following the diet; so I choose the ingredients for 1 serving for each meal. For arguments sake, if I produce two small/medium burgers for one person should I only eat one and keep the other for my lunch the following day or should I choose and make to the ingredients for 2 people and eat half and serve the other half the fallowing day?! Hope this makes sense?!!

If you need two meals, set the number of servings to 2. That will give you 1 dinner + 1 lunch.

Didn’t the jalapeño used to be chili paste? I always have chili paste but not always the jalapeño. What was the quantity of chili paste in the first version of the recipe?

Hi, Cymantha! Our recipe team doesn't recall chili paste ever being in this recipe.

Yes it did! I've been looking for that too. I believe it was 2 tbsp chili paste.
